About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Specialist to join our team at UMI SUSHI EXPRESS. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of food preparation and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, ensuring their safety and satisfaction.
  • Kitchen Management: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Staff Training: Train kitchen staff and helpers in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Inventory Management: Order supplies and equipment to maintain optimal inventory levels and ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Leadership: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to maintain a productive and efficient work environment.
  • Quality Control: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment to ensure quality control and food safety.
  • Cleanliness: Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a clean and safe environment.
Work Environment

As a Culinary Specialist at UMI SUSHI EXPRESS, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of physical activity. You will be required to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.

Experience

We are looking for a candidate with 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role. You will be required to work 30 to 40 hours per week in a permanent position. The language of work is English.
