Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at North Eastern Trucking Inc. as a Logistics Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining a fleet of trucks, ensuring timely and safe transportation of goods across the country.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Operation: Operate straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Route Planning: Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment and GPS to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, overseeing all aspects of vehicle condition and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Cargo Management: Load and unload goods, record cargo information, and relay information to central dispatch.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30 hours per week.
