We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) professional to join our team at 09 Irving Oil Limited. As an EHS Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees, as well as the protection of the environment.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement EHS programs and strategies to protect employees and the environment in accordance with the latest regulations and legislation.
- Develop and deliver training materials to support the understanding and implementation of EHS written standards and programs.
- Work with local managers and supervisors to evaluate safety performance and develop action plans to improve results.
- Participate in the company's response to accidents and incidents, determine root causes, and develop corrective action plans.
- Identify potential hazards and non-compliance issues, provide recommendations, and work with the business to build and implement action plans.
- Conduct EHS audits, risk assessments, reviews, and inspections to ensure compliance with requirements.
- Coordinate the execution of EHS programs and projects, maintain and report EHS statistics.
- Serve as a liaison with internal audit, regulatory agencies, and emergency response organizations, as applicable.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in EHS and 3-5+ years of experience in the petroleum and transportation industry.
- Post-secondary education in EHS or equivalent.
- Professional Safety designation.
