About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pre-Production Planner to join our team at Magna. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and monitoring material supply to meet production schedules and stock levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule material supply to meet production schedules and stock levels.
  • Coordinate with production and customer service teams to ensure timely and accurate material releases.
  • Monitor and track performance of suppliers to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Assist in supplier development and assessment to ensure quality and reliability.
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders for blanket production material at negotiated prices.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a material planning role for Automotive manufacturing, high mix and complex BOM environment.
  • Tier 1 automotive experience is a must.
  • Knowledge of the APQP process and APICS designation or equivalent.
  • Intermediate Excel Skills and high degree of knowledge and understanding of a variety of manufacturing and automotive processes.
  • Knowledge and experience using MRP systems preferably using Trans4M.
