Job OverviewThe Team Leader – DPRT will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient delivery of ore to the Process plant. This role will involve directing and managing a team of DPRT operators and production support staff to ensure that production targets are met.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement safe work practices and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
- Collaborate with Technical Services, Maintenance, and Surface Mining to execute the mining plan and maintenance schedule.
- Mentor and train employees to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Monitor and report on daily production and ensure that production targets are met.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Ensure that all equipment is operated in a safe and responsible manner.
- Direct a team of DPRT operators to transport ore to the Process Plant.
- Direct a team of production support operators to maintain all ore pads, sorting, loading DPRT's, loading ore to the plant and end use of plant product.
- High School Diploma / GED.
- Have or able to obtain level 1 supervisor ticket.
- 5 years' experience in the mining industry, including significant supervisory experience.
- Previous experience operating heavy equipment in a mining or industrial setting.
- Knowledge of mass material movement, road maintenance, and crushing operations.
- Previous experience using SAP and an electronic production data collection system (i.e. WENCO) would be considered an asset.
