About the Role

As a Kitchen Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and presentation of food and beverages in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Your primary focus will be on providing exceptional customer service while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in food preparation, including loading buspans and trays, operating dishwashers, and sanitizing dishes and equipment.
  • Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs.
  • Clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
  • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Sharpen kitchen knives and wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit.
Work Environment

You will be working in a fast-paced kitchen environment with repetitive tasks and attention to detail required. You must be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work effectively in a team setting.

Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Will train on the job.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Client focus and ability to provide exceptional customer service.
Benefits

This is a permanent position offering 30-40 hours of work per week. The work language is English, and the salary range for this position is approximately $15-$18 per hour, based on location and experience.
