Job Summary:
Federated Co-operatives Limited is seeking a skilled Produce Clerk to join our team. As a key member of our grocery store team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the highest quality produce is available to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Ensure the produce department is well-stocked and visually appealing, with a focus on maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
- Assist in receiving and inspecting fresh produce, verifying quality and freshness before stocking.
- Operate equipment safely and efficiently, following all safety protocols and procedures.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels, rotating stock to ensure freshness and minimizing waste.
- Participate in visual merchandising, creating attractive displays and promotions to drive sales and customer engagement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve sales goals and provide support as needed.
- Stay informed about product recalls and safety alerts, communicating with customers and colleagues as necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management, contributing to the overall success of the store.
Requirements:
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with occasional heavy lifting required.
- Availability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings.
