We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Head Cashier to join our team at North Vancouver Bottle Depot. As a key member of our sales floor team, you will be responsible for ensuring a seamless customer experience and maintaining a high level of store efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assign sales workers to duties and ensure that all tasks are completed in a timely manner.
  • Hire and train or arrange for training of staff to ensure that they have the necessary skills to perform their duties.
  • Authorize return of merchandise and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Sell merchandise and provide excellent customer service.
  • Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters to help inform business decisions.
  • Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Organize and maintain inventory to ensure that the store is well-stocked and that products are easily accessible to customers.
  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Conduct performance reviews to help identify areas for improvement and provide feedback to staff.
  • Supervise office and volunteer staff to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively.
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a retail or sales environment.

Our store operates in a fast-paced environment, and you must be able to multitask and work well under pressure.
