Job Summary
Mackenzie Health is seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our team in providing high-quality patient care. As a Registered Practical Nurse, you will work collaboratively with our interprofessional care team to deliver holistic, patient-centred care to patients within the scope of practice identified by the College of Nurses of Ontario.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a workload effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Address and resolve issues in a productive, respectful manner.
- Exercise sound professional judgment and use best practice guidelines.
- Contribute to a safe, inclusive environment for all through compliance with patient and staff safety policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Practical Nurse Diploma from an approved nursing program preferred.
- Current Certificate of Registration in the General Class with the College of Nurses of Ontario required.
- Recent completion of a physical assessment course.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Graduation from a perioperative certification course, or completion of the classwork/curriculum components of the perioperative certification course.
Preferred Qualifications
- One year relevant experience.
- Member of the Registered Practical Nurses' Association of Ontario (RPNAO)/Canadian Nurses Association (CNA).
- Certification with CNA.
- Ability to speak a second language.
