Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team at Active Trucking Company Inc. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transportation: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials over long distances.
  • Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition, perform routine maintenance tasks such as brake adjustments and tire checks, and address any issues promptly.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by addressing complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Loading and Unloading: Load and unload goods safely and efficiently, ensuring that all cargo is properly secured and protected during transit.
  • Communication: Maintain open communication with dispatchers and other drivers to ensure smooth delivery of goods and exchange information about road conditions and traffic updates.
Requirements:
  • Licenses and Certifications: Possess a valid Class 1/1F/A License (semi-trailer trucks) and Air Brakes Endorsement.
  • Experience: Have a minimum of 6 months experience as a truck driver, preferably with a reputable company.
  • Physical Abilities: Be physically fit to handle heavy loads and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Education: Hold a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
Working Conditions

The selected candidate will work independently, driving long hours on the road, and must be able to adapt to changing weather conditions and road situations. The position also requires frequent lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
