About the Role

This Environmental Coordinator role is a key position within our organization, responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and promoting sustainable practices across our operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and submit environmental reports and compliance applications as required by federal, provincial, and municipal regulations.
  • Collaborate with plant staff to ensure adherence to environmental laws and regulations.
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of our Environmental Management System.
  • Develop and implement strategies to reduce environmental impacts and improve performance.
  • Manage contracted service companies working on environmental projects.
  • Liaise with government officials and stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Support the Environmental Manager in promoting a culture of environmental responsibility within the organization.
Requirements
  • Honours degree or diploma in Chemistry, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in the environmental and/or consulting industry.
  • Familiarity with current environmental regulations and industry best practices.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to interpret and apply environmental legislation.
Work Environment

This role is based in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with a focus on safety and environmental sustainability. The successful candidate will be required to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong emphasis on collaboration and communication.
