About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeper to join our team at Tax Palace Inc. as a Tax Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing cheques for payroll, and reconciling accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed financial records, including ledgers and financial statements.
  • Payroll Processing: Prepare cheques for payroll and ensure timely payment to employees.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports and statements as required.
  • Accounting Software: Utilize accounting software to maintain financial records and prepare reports.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related field.
  • Skills: Proficient in accounting software, MS Access, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Windows, and MS Word.
  • Language: English.
Work Environment

This is a permanent, full-time position working 30 hours per week in an urban area. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, have excellent attention to detail, and be able to work under pressure.
