PHP Backend Developer

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly proficient Backend Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Backend Engineer, your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and efficient backend systems that drive our applications.

Responsibilities:

1. Design and Develop Backend Systems: Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems, APIs, and services.
2. Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
3. Architect Solutions: Architect solutions that are simple, secure, efficient, and maintainable.
4. Write Clean Code: Write clean, well-designed, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards.
5. Optimize Backend Systems: Optimize backend systems for performance, scalability, and reliability.
6. Conduct Code Reviews: Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, consistency, and adherence to coding standards.
7. Troubleshoot and Debug Issues: Troubleshoot and debug issues, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to address them.
8. Stay Up-to-Date with Latest Technologies: Stay abreast with the latest technologies, trends, and best practices in backend development.
9. Document Design Decisions: Document design decisions, technical specifications, and implementation details.
10. Collaborate with DevOps Team: Collaborate with the DevOps team to deploy and manage backend services in production environments.
11. Participate in Agile Development Processes: Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Requirements:

1. Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field. Master's degree is a plus.
2. Experience: 3+ years of proven experience as a Backend Engineer or similar role, with a robust portfolio demonstrating backend development skills.
3. Technical Skills: Proficiency in PHP. Laravel is ideal as the framework but open to others such as Symfony, CodeIgniter, etc.
4. Database Technologies: Solid understanding of database technologies, including relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Redis).
5. APIs and Microservices: Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, microservices, and event-driven architecture, and message queue systems.
6. Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS is ideal).
7. Containerization and Orchestration: Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
8. DevOps Practices: Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools for CI/CD pipelines is desirable.
