About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Power Electrician to join our team at EPCOR. As a Power Electrician, you will work with a variety of equipment to ensure proper operation and maintenance of our substation systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair high voltage apparatus
  • Install, commission, and calibrate protective relays
  • Conduct substation switching and operational checks
  • Compile reports and keep accurate records
  • Read schematics and diagrams
  • Perform maintenance and troubleshooting tasks

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Journeyman Power Systems Electrician certificate
  • 3+ years of recent power substation experience as a certified journeyman Power System Electrician
  • Protection & Control experience is an asset
  • Knowledge and experience working with medium and high voltage substation equipment
  • Valid Class 5 Alberta Motor Vehicle Operator's License with 6 or fewer demerits
  • Clearance on background check requirements related to ARS CIP

What We Offer

  • Starting at $56.03 per hour; Job Rate: $60.43 per hour
  • 80 hours biweekly
  • IBEW 1007 jurisdiction
  • Class: PS3.8131A
