Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Apprentice Electrician to join our team at Weather On Demand. As an Apprentice Electrician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient installation of electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install underground wiring and cables to ensure reliable power distribution.
  • Keep maintenance reports and documentation up-to-date to track system performance.
  • Design and construct single-phase service for single or multimeter installations.
  • Determine appropriate selection of materials and methods for hazardous locations.
  • Troubleshoot and isolate faults to minimize downtime.
  • Install surface mount and/or overhead cables to meet system requirements.
  • Instruct apprentices to ensure knowledge transfer.
  • Install power generation, stand-by power generation, and power conditioning systems to ensure reliable power supply.
  • Supervise other workers to ensure safe working practices.
  • Estimate costs and materials to ensure project feasibility.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate installation.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate as a minimum educational requirement.
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in electrical installation.
  • Permanent employment status.
  • English as the primary language of communication.
  • 30 hours per week of work schedule.
