Chief Strategic Officer for Health and Education
About the Role:We are seeking a visionary leader to drive the success and growth of our organization. As Chief Strategic Officer, you will play a pivotal role in setting organizational objectives, overseeing policy implementation, and representing the organization in key negotiations and public functions.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in strategic planning, financial acumen, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to lead and motivate teams effectively.
Key Responsibilities:- Strategic Leadership:
- Establish and oversee organizational objectives, policies, and programs aligned with our mission and values.
- Develop and implement strategic plans that drive long-term sustainability and success.
- Resource Allocation:
- Allocate material, human, and financial resources to implement organizational policies and programs.
- Establish financial and administrative controls, oversee promotional campaigns, and manage personnel planning.
- Human Resource Management:
- Lead the establishment of major departments and associated senior staff positions.
- Select and supervise middle managers, directors, and other executive staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Operational Coordination:
- Coordinate the work of regions, divisions, or departments to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
- Promote collaboration across teams and ensure smooth operations at all levels.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Represent the organization, or delegate representatives, in negotiations, official functions, and partnerships.
- Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, including community partners, and public and private entities.
- Specialization:
- Leverage your expertise in areas such as education, communication and research areas to contribute to the organization's success.
- Education:
- A university degree, preferably a Ph.D. in Social Sciences, Education, or a related field is highly desirable.
- Specialization in a particular Social Sciences area and education or previous experience is an asset.
- Experience:
- Several years of senior management experience in a similar industry, with a proven track record in strategic planning, policy development, and resource allocation.
- Experience in educational and research institutions, along with a background in nonprofit leadership and board membership, is highly desirable.
- Skills:
- Strong in strategic planning and financial acumen, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to lead and motivate teams effectively.
This is a full-time position with flexibility in hours, including potential evening, weekend, and on-call duties. Work may be fully on-site, hybrid, or involve significant travel. A fast-paced setting with tight deadlines and a high level of responsibility.
