Job Title: Delivery Truck Driver

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Delivery Truck Driver to join our team at Stewart & Beck's Home Building Centre. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely operating a delivery truck to pick up and deliver various items and products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and drive automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products.
  • Provide excellent customer service and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Assemble, install, and set up merchandise/products as required.
  • Prepare, package, and restock goods in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Load and unload goods from trucks, using proper lifting techniques to avoid injury.
  • Record trip information, including vehicle mileage, fuel costs, and any issues encountered.
  • Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and maintenance.
  • Operate a forklift as required.
  • Clean the interior and exterior of motor vehicles.
  • Load and unload trucks with supplies and equipment.
  • Organize warehouse and work areas to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Maintain work areas, including sweeping, mopping, and cleaning as required.
  • Verify receipts and packing slips to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Carry customer purchases to the parking lot and pack orders in customers' vehicles.
Requirements:
  • Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks, and other 2-axle vehicles).
  • Valid driver's licence.
  • Criminal record check.
  • Driving record check (abstract).
  • Steel-toed safety boots and gloves.
  • Attention to detail, fast-paced environment, physically demanding, handling heavy loads.
  • Up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
  • Efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, judgement, organized, reliability, team player, accurate, dependability, punctuality.
