Job Title: Delivery Truck Driver

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Delivery Truck Driver to join our team at Stewart & Beck's Home Building Centre. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely operating a delivery truck to pick up and deliver various items and products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and drive automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products
  • Provide exceptional customer service and professionalism in all interactions
  • Assemble, install, and set up merchandise/products
  • Prepare, package, and restock goods
  • Load and unload goods
  • Record trip information, including vehicle mileage, fuel costs, and any problems
  • Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of vehicle maintenance
  • Operate a forklift and clean the interior and exterior of motor vehicles
  • Load and unload trucks with supplies and equipment
  • Organize warehouse and work areas
  • Maintain work areas and verify receipts and packing slips
  • Carry customer purchases to the parking lot and pack orders in customers' vehicles
Requirements:
  • Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks, and other 2-axle vehicles)
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Physically demanding role requiring handling heavy loads up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
  • Steel-toed safety boots and gloves required
