At Craig Keen Despatie Markell LLP, we're seeking a seasoned Senior Manager to join our Tax team. As a trusted advisor, you'll play a key role in delivering customized tax strategies to our clients, navigating the complexities of Canadian tax law.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead client-facing engagement teams to complete tax engagements and prepare tax returns.
- Provide industry expertise through client interactions, reports, and technical work.
- Evaluate business processes and advise on policy and tax changes.
- Liaise with tax authorities on client issues.
- Prepare election forms for corporate reorganizations.
- Manage client portfolios, understanding their business needs and risks.
- Accountable for engagement planning, project financials, and quality control.
- Network in the business community, identifying development opportunities.
- Contribute to strategic planning, process improvement, and team development.
Requirements:
- Completion of the In-depth Tax Program and specialist development courses.
- 7-8 years of relevant public accounting or tax consulting experience.
- Extensive knowledge of Canadian Tax.
- Strong understanding of business, accounting, and management principles.
- Proven leadership, relationship, and strategic planning skills.
