Job Title: Grounds Maintainer

We are seeking a skilled Grounds Maintainer to join our team at Greenbrier Landscaping Inc. as a key member of our outdoor maintenance team.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the grounds of our clients' properties, including landscape constructions, weeding, pruning, and trimming trees and plants, cutting grass, raking and collecting refuse, and removing litter and garbage. The ideal candidate will have experience with landscape maintenance equipment and be able to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with landscape constructions, including planting bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees
  • Weed, prune, and trim trees and plants to maintain a well-manicured appearance
  • Cut grass and maintain lawns and gardens
  • Rake and collect refuse, and remove litter and garbage
  • Cart and spread topsoil and other materials
  • Lay sod or seed, and apply fertilizers
  • Repair and maintain equipment, including chain saws, pick-up trucks, and small engine equipment
  • Write daily basic progress reports
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and gardens
  • Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment, including tractors and mowers
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in landscape maintenance or a related field
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor in various weather conditions
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • Ability to distinguish between colors and work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
  • Dependability, reliability, and a strong work ethic
