Responsibilities as a Restaurant Shift Supervisor includes:
- Supporting the Management Team in ensuring that standards of service are consistently achieved by the team and team members.
- Understanding that our guest is our #1 priority.
- Maintaining brand operational standards and ensuring that restaurant checklists and cleaning schedules are completed on a daily basis.
- Coaching team members through the induction process by acting as a training buddy to ensure a comprehensive orientation and maintenance of brand standards.
- Communicating and clarifying major job duties, priorities, and expectations to team members.
- Providing support, direction, and encouragement in helping the team succeed in delivering business goals.
- Observing, discussing, and documenting both good and unacceptable performance accordingly.
- Assisting team members in developing the skills and abilities necessary for improved performance.
- Ensuring that products are of the highest quality.
- Responsibility for overseeing cash duties.
Qualifications and Experience
- Vocational or on-the-job training essential.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with and motivate team members.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to read, interpret, and articulate instructions using clear and direct language.
- Able to work as part of a team within a fast-paced food service environment.
- Minimum of 8 months experience within a busy restaurant/hotel environment.
- Supervisory experience required.
- Cash handling experience required.
