We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Anova Carpentry and Developments Inc. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and renovating residential and commercial structures.
Key Responsibilities- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
- Prepare layouts and measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
- Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
- Survey building locations and levels, and instruct apprentices
- Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the trade
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment with tight deadlines
- Own tools and equipment, including steel-toed safety boots and safety glasses/goggles
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Permanent full-time position
- 30 to 35 hours of work per week
- English language proficiency
