Inventory Control Specialist

Rush Enterprises Inc. is a leading commercial vehicle dealership group in North America, representing a wide range of industry-leading truck and trailer brands. We are seeking a highly skilled Inventory Control and Shipping Clerk to join our team.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) regulations and the Company's Health and Safety Policy.
- Lead cycle count activities and achieve targets.
- Complete daily SAP administrative tasks, ensuring all processes are completed.
- Assist in maintaining the flow of goods for tenders.
- Place product orders to fulfill inventory needs using Excel and SAP.
- Collaborate with management to report stock issues.
- Resolve discrepancies between physical counts and computer records.
- Place purchase orders (PO) with suppliers and communicate lead times with stakeholders.
- Manage open POs, following up with vendors on back orders and any issues.
- Create Warehouse Auto Ship Program (WASP) parts orders weekly.
- Create transfer orders from centralized purchases.
- Assist with creating returns and return POs to all vendors.
- Support warehouse staff as required to ensure the flow of goods.
- High school diploma or general education diploma (GED).
- Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
- Two years' experience in a dealership/truck or automotive parts, repair or related experience is an asset.
- Competency in administrative skills, inventory management, proficiency with software and computers, and interpersonal skills.
- SAP knowledge is an asset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional and friendly attitude with strong customer focus.
