We are creating a Multi-hospital Critical Care Resource Team (MCCRT) to address this need.

The MCCRT offers a unique opportunity for Registered Nurses to grow professionally and expand their knowledge in a supportive environment. As part of this team, you will have the ability to work at all four hospitals based on business needs and patient volumes.

Our organization provides highly specialized care to critically injured patients, and we are seeking skilled nurses to join our team. The successful candidate will be hired into one of the partner hospitals and have the opportunity to work across multiple sites.

We are home to the first and largest trauma centre in Canada and provide care to one in three trauma patients in Ontario. Our hospital treats approximately 2,000 critically injured patients each year, making us a leader in critical care.

Responsibilities and Requirements

You will be responsible for providing primary care to Level III medical-surgical critical care patients. Your practice will be consistent with the College of Nurses standards, Sunnybrook Nursing Practice standards, and the mission and values of Sunnybrook.

  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario;
  • Current BCLS certificate;
  • Baccalaureate degree in Nursing preferred;
  • Three years of current Level 2 or 3 critical care experience required;
  • Completion of a recognized Critical Care Course;
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuing education within the past two years;
Estimated Salary: $110,000 per annum

This salary is estimated based on national averages for critical care nurses in the GTA. It takes into account factors such as location, experience, and qualifications.
