Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Meat Associate to join our team at Walmart Canada. As a Meat Associate, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized meat department, and assisting with the sale of goods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Zones the department to ensure a clean and organized shopping environment.
  • Rotates stock and checks for expired products to maintain high-quality merchandise.
  • Ensures merchandise is properly signed and priced to meet company standards.
  • Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates.
  • Takes orders for Deli Department merchandise, slices and prepares merchandise, and provides requested assistance.
  • Follows proper procedures for ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels.
  • Prepares deli food orders, meat, cheese, and utilizes slicers, stackers, and other utensils to prepare chicken and fill prepared salads and side dishes for placement into display area and specialty orders from customers as required.
  • Follows Health and Safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
