We are seeking a seasoned Grounds Maintenance Team Lead to oversee the daily operations of our grounds maintenance team at GSM Contractor Ltd.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of 11-15 grounds maintenance professionals in providing high-quality services to our clients.

This is a permanent, full-time position that requires a strong background in grounds maintenance, supervision, and equipment operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and direct a team of grounds maintenance staff, including hiring, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Plan and organize daily tasks, including planting, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Develop and implement effective work schedules to meet project deadlines.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless delivery of services.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including time sheets, inventory, and quality control metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and industry standards.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education or equivalent experience in a related field (e.g., horticulture, landscape design).
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in grounds maintenance, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with equipment operation and maintenance.
  • A valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with contractors and subcontractors.
  • Familiarity with landscape construction and design principles.
  • Certification in areas such as OSHA, first aid, or pesticide application.
Compensation

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and bonuses.
