Job Description

The Geometric Control Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring the production of accurate and dimensionally correct products. This is achieved through the analysis and reporting of geometric control data collected throughout the shipbuilding process.

About the Role

In field metrology and dimensional surveying, you will ensure that first-time dimensional accurate products are delivered to our customers. You will provide support and guidance for unit, block, and mega-block assembly to eliminate downstream rework.

You will analyze AC data to produce reports and determine process capability. Additionally, you will provide support and guidance for Special installations to ensure first-time accuracy on all ITP tolerances.

Responsibilities

  • Provides in-field support and guidance for unit, block, and mega-block assembly to eliminate downstream rework.

  • Supports and guides Special installations to ensure first-time accuracy on all ITP tolerances.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in Geomatics or Engineering, or;
  • Red Seal Trade with 3+ years of shipbuilding experience, or;
  • 2+ years dimensional control surveyor experience.
