About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, ensuring that food and service meet quality control standards. This includes supervising and coordinating the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, training staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and maintaining records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards;
  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food, including training staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures;
  • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage, and prepare and submit reports;
  • Prepare budget and cost estimates, and address customers' complaints or concerns;
  • Hire food service staff, and supervise and check assembly of trays and delivery of food trolleys.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have a secondary (high) school graduation certificate, and 7 months to less than 1 year of experience working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. You must have excellent oral communication skills, be a team player, and have knowledge of the establishment's culinary genres.

Work Environment

This is a physically demanding role that requires standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling, and walking. You will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, and under pressure to meet customer expectations.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience, and a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, and a pension plan.
