About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Marmen. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for managing complex industrial equipment development projects from conception to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop complex industrial equipment, including machines, specialized welding equipment, and lifting devices.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their needs, identify requirements, and develop project specifications.
  • Prepare project budgets, timelines, and track progress.
  • Identify and analyze potential design issues and provide recommendations for resolution.
  • Supervise technical aspects of projects, perform engineering calculations, and analyze finished products.
  • Develop and review technical documentation, including engineering reports, work instructions, and maintenance procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize project delivery.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and participate in project meetings.
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Membership in the Order of Engineers of Quebec (OIQ).
  • Proficiency in Solid Edge 3D, AutoCAD 2D, or similar CAD software.
  • Bilingualism (French and English) in both written and spoken communication.
  • Ability to provide a safe and healthy work environment and adhere to company safety procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of industrial equipment used in heavy industry, including lifting devices, rolling equipment, and welding equipment.
