About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Training to lead our maintenance team and drive continuous improvement in our manufacturing operations.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in plant engineering and maintenance operations, with a minimum of 5 years in a managerial capacity.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of maintenance staff and oversee all maintenance activities across multiple sites in the Lower Mainland.
- Accelerate adoption of the computerized maintenance management system.
- Budget for all maintenance activities and supplies.
- Assist in strategic planning of plant and equipment layouts.
- Coordinate a variety of Factors Group projects taking into consideration municipal regulations, architectural, engineering and trades.
- Continuous improvement of First Time Quality (FTQ) components through process innovation and variation reduction, including control of material usage variances and evaluation of new materials, methods, and technologies.
- A Bachelor of Engineering degree in mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation disciplines.
- 10 years' experience in plant engineering and maintenance operations, including a minimum of 5 years in a managerial capacity.
- Proficient in the use of Computerized Maintenance Management software (CMMS).
- Experience with tablet presses, encapsulation, packaging equipment, high pressure steam boilers, air compressors, vacuum pumps, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), speed controls, etc.
- Proficient in the use of ACAD computer-aided design software.
- Experience with large scale production or facilities expansion projects would be an asset.
- Experience with facilities operations, including fire safety plans and equipment, back flow preventers and mechanical systems.
- Experience with explosion-proof equipment and installation.
- Understanding of architectural, electrical, and mechanical blueprint drawings.
