About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Training to lead our maintenance team in a multi-site manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in plant engineering and maintenance operations, with a minimum of 5 years in a managerial capacity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all maintenance staff and activity across multiple sites in the Lower Mainland.
  • Accelerate adoption of the computerized maintenance management system.
  • Budget for all maintenance activities and supplies.
  • Assist in strategic planning of plant and equipment layouts.
  • Coordinate a variety of Factors Group projects taking into consideration municipal regulations, architectural, engineering and trades.
  • Continuous improvement of First Time Quality (FTQ) components through process innovation and variation reduction, including control of material usage variances and evaluation of new materials, methods, and technologies.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor of Engineering degree in mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation disciplines.
  • 10 years' experience in plant engineering and maintenance operations, including a minimum of 5 years in a managerial capacity.
  • Proficient in the use of Computerized Maintenance Management software (CMMS).
  • Experience with tablet presses, encapsulation, packaging equipment, high pressure steam boilers, air compressors, vacuum pumps, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), speed controls, etc.
  • Proficient in the use of ACAD computer-aided design software.
  • Experience with large scale production or facilities expansion projects would be an asset.
  • Experience with facilities operations, including fire safety plans and equipment, back flow preventers and mechanical systems.
  • Experience with explosion-proof equipment and installation.
  • Understanding of architectural, electrical, and mechanical blueprint drawings.
