About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Test Engineer to join our team. As a Test Engineer, you will play a key role in the planning and execution of testing activities. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with development and test teams to understand system requirements and test objectives.
  • Developing and executing test plans, cases, and scripts to ensure high-quality products.
  • Maintaining and evolving test infrastructure to support new equipment and technologies.
  • Creating and maintaining technical documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
  • Identifying and troubleshooting defects, and providing recommendations for product improvements.
  • Participating in technical reviews and contributing to the development of testing methodologies.
  • Assisting in the planning and estimation of future work.
  • Leading and developing the skills of other team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in similar roles.
  • Experience in requirements analysis, system design, integration, and testing methodologies.
  • Experience with automated testing tools and techniques.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to describe technical topics effectively to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team under the supervision of more experienced engineers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Canadian security clearance and a positive evaluation of controlled goods.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SATP systems, preferably with a focus on rotary-wing systems and key technology domains such as:
  • Secure data communications
  • Landing system
  • System redundancy
  • ISR, surveillance, and reconnaissance systems
  • Experience with tools such as Jira, Rational Team Concert, Rational Quality Manager, Ansible, Artifactory, GitLab, or DOORS
  • Project management (Jira, MS Project)
  • Automated testing (Robot Framework, Squish)
  • Modeling and statistics (MatLab/Simulink, Python + NumPy/SciPy)
  • Programming languages (MatLab, Python, Qt, C++)
  • Continuous integration/continuous deployment (GitLab, Jenkins)
  • Source control (Git, GitLab)
  • Windows, Linux
  • Confluence
  • Microsoft Visio, Office, and Sharepoint
