Job Summary:

The City of Cornwall is seeking a skilled Personal Support Worker to join our team at Glen Stor Dun Lodge. As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional resident care and delivering services with a focus on cultural, spiritual, social, and restorative needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide resident care and support services in accordance with the Long Term Care Act and regulations;
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming;
  • Participate in a team delivery of care and promote a safe and supportive environment for residents;
  • Identify and communicate resident equipment needs;
  • Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Follow all Glen Stor Dun Lodge and Corporate policies to ensure safe resident care.

Requirements:

  • Completion of Post-Secondary education preferred;
  • Certified Personal Support Worker (PSW) as per the requirements of the Long Term Care Act and regulations;
  • Minimum of 6 months experience in a Long Term care facility an asset;
  • Experience in working with seniors and/or chronic care residents in a Long Term Care Facility;
  • Bilingualism an asset;
  • All other duties as assigned.
