Job Summary

NUMERO UNO TRANSPORT INC. is seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely operating a variety of heavy vehicles, including trucks and trailers, to transport goods across the country.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive Safely: Operate a two-person team or convoy, drive lighter, special purpose trucks, and load and unload goods.
  • Obtain Permits: Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment, and perform brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Transportation: Transport and handle dangerous goods.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Personal Qualities: Excellent oral communication, flexibility, judgment, organized, reliability, and a valid driver's license.
Work Environment

As a Truck Driver with NUMERO UNO TRANSPORT INC., you will work in a fast-paced environment with a variety of tasks and responsibilities. You will be required to work 40 to 60 hours per week, with a focus on safety and customer satisfaction.
