About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Environmental Quality Consultant to join our team at Ville de Laval. As a key member of our environmental services department, you will play a critical role in providing expert advice and support to our organization on matters related to environmental quality and land management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to our organization on environmental quality and land management issues;
  • Develop and implement environmental policies, procedures, and regulations related to land management and contaminated sites;
  • Conduct site visits, inspections, and investigations to identify environmental risks and develop strategies for mitigation;
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement environmental management plans and programs;
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners, and community groups;
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and best practices in environmental quality and land management;
  • Develop and deliver training programs and workshops on environmental quality and land management topics;
  • Contribute to the development of our organization's environmental sustainability strategy and goals.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as environmental science, geology, chemistry, or engineering;
  • At least 6 years of experience in a related field, including experience in environmental monitoring, site characterization, and regulatory compliance;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and develop effective solutions;
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license.
