We are seeking a skilled and experienced Supermarket Butcher to join our team at marché du faubourg Saint-Amable INC.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for cutting and preparing meats for sale, as well as providing excellent customer service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cutting and preparing meats for sale, including carcasses, sides, and quarters
  • Preparing special cuts of meat ordered by customers
  • Cutting, trimming, and preparing standard cuts of meat
  • Wrapping and packaging prepared meats
  • Removing bones from meat
  • Weighing meats for sale
  • Cutting poultry into parts
  • Cleaning and preparing fish and shellfish
  • Selling meats to customers
  • Cutting fish into steaks and fillets
  • Supervising other butchers, meat cutters, and fishmongers
  • Grinding meats
  • Training meat cutters
  • Making special sausages
  • Slicing cooked meats
  • Preparing special displays of meats, poultry, and fish products
  • Shaping, lacing, and tying roasts, other meats, poultry, and seafood
Requirements:
  • Meat Cutter Trade Certification
  • Certification with provincial or territorial authorities
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of customer interaction.
