About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Assistant to join our team at Techmates Construction Ltd. As a Construction Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our construction projects by performing various tasks and assisting our team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading Materials: Assist in loading and unloading construction materials, ensuring they are properly secured and transported to the work site.
  • Assisting in Pipeline Construction: Assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction, ensuring accurate and efficient installation.
  • Framing and Building: Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs, adhering to safety protocols and construction standards.
  • Cleaning and Salvaging: Clean and pile salvaged materials, maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
  • Supporting Newcomers and Refugees: Assist with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees, providing support with housing, transportation, storage, childcare, and winter clothing.
  • Supporting Youths and Mature Workers: Offer on-the-job training tailored to youth and provide staff with awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for mature workers.
  • Job Type and Schedule: This is a permanent position, working 40 hours per week.
  • Language of Work: The primary language of work is English.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
  • Work Site Environment: The work site environment may involve working at heights and in dusty conditions.
  • Work Setting: The work setting may involve various locations.
