We are currently seeking an Associate Director of Care (ADOC) for a Long Term Care facility in Sault. St. Marie. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and supervising all activities within the Nursing Department to ensure the provision of exceptional resident care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the nursing team by setting clear goals and objectives, and developing policies and procedures that align with regulatory standards and best practices.
- Interpret and implement the nursing philosophy, establishing and updating departmental goals and objectives.
- Ensure that all departmental policies and procedures comply with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive records, reports, and statistics for both resident care and department personnel.
- Act as a liaison with families, residents, government officials, and other professionals to address resident care needs and coordinate departmental activities.
Requirements:
- Minimum 4-5 years of experience working as a Registered Nurse (RN) in a LTC, with managerial or supervisory experience.
- Minimum 5-6 years of experience working as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) in a LTC, with managerial or supervisory experience.
- Current Certificate of Registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Practical Nurse (RPN).
- Valid Vulnerable Sector Check within 6 months.
- 2-Step TB or Chest Xray within 12 months.
- Immunization Records - Measles, Mumps, Rubella & Varicella, Hepatitis B, etc.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.

Job Details:

- Pay: $70.00 per hour
- Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
