Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a tractor-trailer to transport goods and materials across long distances, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a high level of safety and security.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Mountain Driving Expertise: Navigate challenging mountain routes with ease and precision.
  • Load and Unload Goods: Safely load and unload goods at designated locations, adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Obtain Special Permits: Obtain necessary permits and documents to transport cargo on international routes.
  • Operate Tractor-Trailer: Drive a tractor-trailer to transport goods and materials, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the vehicle, ensuring it is in good working condition.
  • Pre-Trip Inspections: Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is safe for operation.
  • Communication: Relay information to central dispatch and receive updates on cargo and route information.
  • Cargo Handling: Handle and secure cargo to prevent damage during transport.
  • Transportation of Dangerous Goods: Transport and handle dangerous goods safely and in accordance with regulations.
Requirements:
  • Class 1/1F/A Licence: Possess a valid Class 1/1F/A Licence for semi-trailer trucks.
