As a Project Coordinator, you will play a vital role in maintaining project systems and procedures, including master filing systems, project billings, cost accounting, project delivery status, and reporting. You will utilize your administrative and customer service skills to provide technical and administrative support, including assisting project managers with scheduling, reporting, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor project progress and create project status reports for project managers and stakeholders.
- Track project milestones to ensure deliverables are completed and meet project requirements.
- Assist with resource scheduling and coordinate meetings and communication between project managers and stakeholders.
- Manage project-related inquiries and escalations, providing timely and appropriate responses.
- Manage project documents, such as the project plan, budget, schedule, or scope statement, as directed by the project manager.
- Execute various project management administrative tasks, including purchase order setup and receiving.
- Support team members in implementing risk management strategies.
- Use approved systems in alignment with company expectations.
- Promote a culture of health, safety, and environmental protection on the project.
- Perform general administrative and recordkeeping functions to ensure project-specific quality management information is readily available.
Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree or certification in business administration, project management, or a related field.
- 2 to 4 years of experience in a fast-paced administrative or coordinator role.
- Utility construction experience, such as transmission, distribution, substations, or telecom, is a strong asset.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with key contacts at all levels.
- Exceptional eye for detail and organizational skills in a dynamic, multi-tasking environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and working knowledge of project management software.
- Proven ability to understand construction administration and contract commercial terms.
- Analytical skills and a logical, independent problem solver.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
