We are seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant to support research priority setting for Indigenous Women & Two-spirit persons with sexual dysfunction and genito-pelvic pain (SD/GPP) across Canada.

The overarching goal of the SHAPE Hub is to identify and address gaps that contribute to all Canadians having safe, timely, appropriate, accessible, culturally-informed, and trauma-informed care for SD/GPP.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in data collection for a national study aimed at understanding the research priorities of Indigenous women and Two-spirit persons with sexual difficulties and genito-pelvic pain.
  • Conduct basic literature reviews, a policy/legislative scan, and review and assist with the synthesis of literature and grey information.
  • Obtain informed consent and maintain participant confidentiality.
  • Participate in Hub activities, including workshops, and team meetings.
  • Maintain project-related records and databases, entering data according to established protocols.
  • Support the preparation of presentations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or required.

Requirements:

  • High school graduation and a minimum one year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Willingness to respect diverse perspectives, including perspectives in conflict with one's own.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to enhancing one's own awareness, knowledge, and skills related to equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to be thorough, accurate, and have a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively use MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
