Promotion of Wellness and Community Well-being Leader

We are seeking a qualified promotion of wellness and community well-being leader to join our team at the Curve Lake First Nation. As a key member of our health services department, you will play a critical role in promoting health, wellness, and community well-being through the development and implementation of comprehensive health promotion programs. Your expertise in health promotion theories and evidence-based practices will enable you to lead and manage staff to achieve program objectives. Additionally, your ability to establish collaborative relationships with community members, professionals, and organizations will be essential in ensuring programs meet community needs. Main Responsibilities
- Program Development and Implementation:
- Oversees the development and implementation of comprehensive health promotion programs aligned with community goals.
- Conducts needs assessments, research, and data analysis to identify community health needs.
- Community Engagement and Collaboration:
- Establishes collaborative relationships with community members, professionals, and organizations.
- Facilitates community consultations to ensure programs meet community needs.
- Team Leadership and Supervision:
- Provides leadership and supervision to health promotion coordinators and support staff.
- Fosters a positive work environment and encourages professional growth.
- A degree or diploma in health promotion, public health, community health, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of management experience.
- In-depth knowledge of health promotion theories and evidence-based practices.
- Understanding of social determinants of health in First Nation communities.
- Knowledge of culturally sensitive health promotion materials and relevant legislation.
Terms of Employment
A permanent full-time position with an annual salary range based on a 39.5-hour work week.
