Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dietary Aide to join our team at Pan Am Clinic. As a Dietary Aide, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our patients by providing exceptional food service and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve meals to patients in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Assist with food preparation, including cooking, baking, and plating.
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Restock supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure seamless meal service.
Requirements
  • Completion of Grade 10 required.
  • Food Handlers training certificate Level 1 or equivalent required.
  • Food service experience is preferred.
  • Able to carry out duties in a professional manner, working under minimum or no supervision, and in compliance with confidentiality of Lodge and Residents.
  • Effective interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend fluent English required.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Able to mentally and physically meet the demands of the position, i.e. prolonged standing, pushing, pulling, lifting, and bending, etc.
  • Able to operate related equipment and maintain a clean work area.
  • Clean, neat appearance, remaining compliant to dress code.
  • Consistently able to arrive punctually and prepared to work.
  • Able to accept constructive criticism and to adapt to stressful situations.
  • Interested in the elderly, and in working to uphold the concepts of teamwork in caring for the needs of the Residents.
  • Able to work to improve food service for facility Residents and staff.
  • Must provide current criminal record check.
Working Conditions

The Dietary Aide will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with frequent exposure to heat, steam, and cleaning chemicals. The successful candidate must be able to work in a team environment and maintain a high level of professionalism at all times.
