The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting contractor's work to ensure it meets contract plans and specifications. This will involve coordinating with the project delivery team and contractor to obtain required permits and ensuring compliance with regulations.
The ideal candidate will have a post-secondary degree in civil engineering or a related field, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in general heavy civil construction. Previous experience working on provincial transportation projects is an asset.
The Transportation Field Inspector II will be responsible for:
- Inspecting contractor's work to ensure compliance with contract plans and specifications
- Coordinating with the project delivery team and contractor to obtain required permits
- Ensuring compliance with regulations and standards
- Preparing daily inspection reports and documenting installed quantities
- Monitoring progress and documenting any issues or concerns
The successful candidate will be a highly skilled communicator with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills. They will be able to work well in a team environment and have a strong understanding of MS Office and database entry.
