Accounting Specialist for Investment Analysis

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist to join our team in Investment Analysis. This is a 12-month contract position that will provide you with the opportunity to work on large cross-functional projects and teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform month-end reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records;
  • Analyze financial results to assess reasonability and fluctuations of HOOPP's investments and income;
  • Recommend correction of investment transactions to Investment Operations to ensure accurate information in the investment accounting system (SimCorp Dimension);
  • Assist the Associate Director in analyzing the impact of new investments or investment strategies on operational readiness;
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • University degree in Business or related discipline;
  • Successful completion of an accounting designation (CPA);
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in accounting for the financial services sector, with proven experience working on large cross-functional projects and/or teams;
  • Knowledge of accounting standards & principles (GAAP and IFRS);
  • The incumbent must possess working knowledge of accounting principles with respect to derivative instruments and marketable securities;
