About the Position

This is a 12-month limited term position, with potential for extension or conversion to full-time. The successful candidate will have a minimum of four years' work experience in a progressively responsible HR Advisor, HR Coordinator or Generalist role in a complex unionized environment.

As an HR Generalist, you will collaborate with the HR team to build and implement best practices relating to attraction, retention and development of employees. You will assist managers in developing business plans for position development and recruitment, and assist in the administration of the compensation program.

What You'll Bring
  • A minimum of four years' work experience in a progressively responsible HR Advisor, HR Coordinator or Generalist role in a complex unionized environment.
  • Knowledge of HR best practices in recruitment, compensation, performance management, succession planning, orientation and workforce planning.
  • Excellent customer service skills, a result-focused can-do attitude, sound critical thinking, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
