Senior SharePoint Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior SharePoint Engineer to join our team at Sun Life Financial. As a key member of our IT organization, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, cost-effective, and secure technology solutions for our end-user computing environment.

About the Role:

The Senior SharePoint Engineer will be a multifunctional team player, client advocate, and solution designer. You will work closely with our clients to understand their business needs and develop innovative solutions to meet those needs. Your expertise in SharePoint administration, AvePoint, and Office 365 will be essential in delivering world-class end-user experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver scalable, cost-effective, and secure technology solutions for our end-user computing environment.
  • Develop and maintain design specifications that meet technical, functional, and non-functional requirements.
  • Collaborate with our clients to understand their business needs and develop innovative solutions to meet those needs.
  • Work closely with our operational support teams to collect, analyze, and report on incident and problem data.
  • Interact with various engineering and technical support teams across our IT organization.

Requirements:

  • University degree or college diploma in a related discipline or equivalent work experience.
  • Expertise in SharePoint administration, AvePoint, and Office 365.
  • Strong troubleshooting and research skills used to match technology solutions to business needs.
  • General knowledge of networking, servers, storage, and data security concepts.
  • Broad multi-platform and multi-industry experience.

Reliability Status Clearance: Candidates must be eligible for Reliability Status Clearance, which requires that they have lived and worked in Canada for the past 5 consecutive years.
