Job Title: Program Advisor, Due Diligence, IRAP Program

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Advisor to join our team at the National Research Council (NRC). As a Program Advisor, you will play a key role in the development and implementation of effective due diligence, evaluation, and assessment frameworks, processes, and practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement due diligence, evaluation, and assessment frameworks, processes, and practices.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to senior management on government programs.
  • Build and manage relationships with businesses and government departments or programs that support innovative SMEs.
  • Work in the science or technology field.
Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree from a recognized postsecondary institution in a relevant discipline.
  • Recent experience in developing or delivering grant and contributions programs in collaboration with other government departments or agencies.
  • Recent experience in the design, development, and delivery of due diligence, evaluation, or assessment frameworks.
  • Recent and significant experience in the planning, business case development, design, and implementation of national programs and/or strategic initiatives in a grants and contributions environment.
  • Recent and significant experience in the provision of expert advice and guidance to senior management as relating to government programs.
  • Experience building and managing relationships with businesses and government departments or programs that support innovative SMEs.
  • Experience working in the science or technology field.

  • Knowledge of leadership and management practices and principles.
  • Knowledge of design, implementation, and evaluation of projects, programs, and/or applications.
  • Ability to analyze complex situations/documents and develop succinct recommendations.
  • Ability to lead, evaluate, or implement new processes, methods, systems, and/or applications, or practices that significantly improve operations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
