Job Title: Workplace/Space Planning Specialist

Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is seeking a skilled and strategic professional to join our team as a Workplace/Space Planning Specialist. This exciting opportunity will involve providing expert planning and design services for our workplace and surrounding office environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective space planning and design strategies to meet business needs and customer expectations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize space requirements, and develop detailed plans and specifications for office accommodation and other facilities.
  • Operate computer-aided design (CAD) software and other tools to create detailed drawings and models of proposed space layouts.
  • Conduct site visits and assessments to identify opportunities for space optimization and improvement.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of furniture and furnishings.
  • Participate in the development of standards, procedures, and policies related to space planning and design.
Requirements:
  • 3-year degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architectural Technology, or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in commercial space planning and design, with a strong understanding of CAD software and other design tools.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Valid G driver's license and ability to travel as required.
