Millwright - Red Seal Job Description

Adecco Canada is seeking a skilled and motivated Millwright - Red Seal to join our client's team in Abbotsford, BC. This full-time role involves performing repairs, preventive maintenance inspections, and troubleshooting machinery to ensure minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Repair and Maintenance: Perform repairs and preventative maintenance inspections on production line equipment to ensure optimal performance and reduce downtime.
  • Preventative Maintenance Schedule: Develop and follow a preventative maintenance schedule to ensure equipment performance and reduce downtime.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot machinery and act with urgency on on-floor calls and emergencies.
  • Spare Parts: Identify and order spare parts as needed.
  • Work Schedule: Complete a work schedule in cooperation with Maintenance & Production Supervisors.
  • Liaison: Act as a liaison for contractors conducting repairs within the plant.
  • Documentation: Ensure all required documentation is completed accurately and on time, including daily time sheets, pre-operational forms, maintenance logs, and work orders.
  • Skilled Tasks: Perform various skilled tasks such as electrical work, PLC programming, refrigeration, hydraulics, pneumatics, vacuum, plumbing, and fabricating as required.
  • Health and Safety: Comply with Health and Safety regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Safety standards, and Environmental guidelines.
Requirements:
  • Eligibility: Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.
  • Red Seal License: Red Seal Millwright License is required.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience with food packaging equipment and industrial maintenance.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of electronics, PLC technologies, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Additional Licenses: Additional Skilled Trade Licenses are an asset.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent writing and oral communication skills.
  • Decision-Making: Ability to assess decisions and work effectively under pressure.
